Film Developing Express (Black and White)
Learn to develop your existing black and white films in a quick and simple 2 hour tutorial.
Bring your own film* (35mm or 120mm, already exposed) and learn the skills to develop black and white films in a community darkroom or at home (and the tools and equipment required).
You will develop one film during the class and lean about the different chemistry, techniques and safety information. We will also discuss archiving, alternative and diy techniques and the next steps in darkroom practice.
The class should not take the entire 2 hours but we allow extra time for films to dry and for a Q&A session.
- All the skills needed to competently develop black and white films
- Alternative and DIY techniques
- All chemistry for 1 roll of film is provided
- A negative sleeve
- A list of required tools and materials for developing at home
- 1 x Black and White Film (35mm or 120mm, already exposed)
Casual clothes safe for chemical drips (never white)
Competent film photographers who want to learn to self process
We do not issue refunds on workshops if for any reason participants cannot attend on the day. We can, however, transfer participants into other workshops held at NOIR darkroom if we receive notification prior to 24hours before the class.
